Things kenshin says?!

Question: I haven't watched the show in years so I don't remember very well but does kenshin say "That it is," or "that i do" a lot. I always see it in fanfictons and I'm wondering if they made it up or he actually says it.

Yes he does. Actually in original Japanese version it is supposed to be " de gozaru" but it's somewhat lost in translation. "de gozaru" is somewhat archaic form of desu (to be).

From Wikipedia:
Kenshin's original Japanese dialogue contains some unusual words which can cause problems in translation. Most of the time, he refers to himself with the extremely humble pronoun "sessha" (translated by Viz as "this one") and uses the formal verb "de gozaru" (conveyed by Media Blasters by sentence-final phrases like "…that it is.")

Translations from Japanese to English are messed up.

Yes he says that a lot

it came from the japanese phrase "de gozaru" which roughly translates to "that it is"

the english translation of rurouni kenshin is also dubbed this way.
