If you mean the Sailor Starlights from Sailor Moon Stars:
They were male in their human form, but female in their scout-form (all sailor scouts are female). In the manga they were females who posed as male pop idols and never switched their gender, but in the anime, they do. In his male form Sailor Starfighter pestered Serena but she never returned his feelings completely, she has always been true to Darien.
The only lesbians in the series were Haruka Tenoh *Uranus* and Michiru Kaioh *Neptune* (Amara and Michelle in the american dub). Serena thought that Haruka was a male the first time she saw her because of her appearance (boyish haircut, male clothes, etc.) and was attracted to her but later found out she was a guy... I wouldn't say she "loved" her but she did have kind of a crush on her when she first saw Haruka and even followed Haruka around with Minako. Also Haruka flirts with her sometimes but that's as far as it goes in the show.
it's been a really long time since i knew sailor moon stuff. i would have known this in a heartbeat about 5 years ago! haha. i think you are talking about uranus, neptune and pluto as the sailor stars. (for some odd reason i can't remember their real names.) uranus and neptune were lesbians in the japanese version. ... i think they were cousins too. but the whole thing about neptune was that she was beautiful and talented and smart and so that's why everyone liked her. i think in the american version they hinted at it.
