manga is basically a comic version of anime. anime is the tv show that manga is made into. but not all manga goes into a show and not all anime is from manga. hentai is not tied in in anyway because hentai is anime porn (EWWWW)!

manga = book
both of them manga has artistic flair to it while anima has 1990's cartoon flair to it

technically hentai means "pervert" but people keep thinking its "porn" it can be tied to both manga and anime

They are a bit like western cartoons, but they look different and weren't designed for little 6 year-olds. One thing I love about the original anime in Japanese with subtitles are that they haven't been editted/censored out because it's too violent or sexual for the age group they're making it for.
Hentai is the japanese word for pervert/pervertion. It is now known as animated porn. It can be both anime and manga. Some hentai, doujinshi, is fan-work where people use an actual anime/manga title and their characters to create an alternate storyline.

So to sum it up, Hentai is an artform either in stills or animation, which is thought of negatively by Japanese or has been misinterpreted (depending on how it is drawn or animated) by Americans as sexually graphic.
Manga, from my extensive research, is a style of artform by the Japanese that can be stills or animation. However, it is not a type, style, or way of producing animation.
Anime is a shortened American terminology to represent the type of animation produced by the stylized artform of Manga by the Japanese.
