There is no official reason to why Bleach is called Bleach although there are a few theories put forward. The First being that when Japanese people bleach their hair occasionally it doesn't go so well and goes Orange rather than Blonde. Ichigo is attacked in one manga chapter by a guy claiming Ichigo stole his hair style (In fact the guy bleached his hair, Ichigo just had his normal hair). The third being that the Shinigami "Bleach" the souls of the hollows and spirits sending them to the afterlife, cleansing them.
because thats what the author wanted to call it
becuz they liked washing their clothes!LOL!
It comes from a word meaning "white," blaikos. The link explains the etymology: http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term...
idk...but it sounds really cool...and i guess the author didnt want to be lame and call it "Ichigo the soul reaper has to go save rukia in the soul society" lol
Bleach is called that because 'Bleache' means soul in japanese. Since ichigo is a soul reaper, they named it Bleach short for 'Bleache'.
i guess like maybe bleached means to erase like to kill hollows or get rid of stains
like the bleach we use for getting things out maybe
beats me?
Japanese people like to put nonsense American words into their pop songs and stuff. I find that most Japanese songs and Anime titles - the English in them make absolutely no sense
I always thought it was because the hollows' masks are white...
