Ya i don't know maybe the creators try to make the male characters have long hair and stuff so they look attractive. Not really sure why though. Also maybe the girls that like that like the women qualities of the man. I don't really know.
hmm, I suppose it's because anything goes in anime, as far as looks and all and usually the girly looking characters are still very manly. Besides, "pretty" in anime is ok! ( I know I wouln't feel the same about such looks in real life,lol)

OK let me help you out on the Sessy thing. You're right he does look like a girl but some people like the deep tone of voice. I for one prefer Inuyasha way more the Sessy. If you pay close attention youcan see Nuraku wering eyeshadow and that really creeps me out because lots of people on youtube think he rocks. What ev!
