Itachi didn't kill his clan?!
Question: I've always thought he did it to test his skills and it went no deeper then that, but I'm hearing that Itachi might not of killed his clan. What do you think?

This is one mystery that's about to unveil in Naruto.
From Itachi's words, they did sound like Itachi did kill his clan. However, why did he say that he didn't kill Shisui when he was accused to, several days before the Uchiha massacre? Up till now, we actually don't see Itachi killing someone, more or less his enemies - Jiraiya, Kakashi, Kurenai, even Sasuke... you know what I mean. With Amaterasu, he could have burnt them all into ashes.
Plus, the reason why he only left Sasuke alive in the clan, and also the reason why he let Sasuke go after his failed attempt to kill Itachi. Did he really want Sasuke to kill him? What for? And why need Mangekyou Sharingan for it?
This caused some people to think that Itachi actually DID NOT kill his clan. People who are responsible to that fateful night were Akatsuki members; maybe Pain and someone else. He merely killed his parents, and left Sasuke alive for a reason. If you read the theories that are written thoughtfully, you may see that it might be possible.
However, until everything unveils before us, who are we to say that he actually did or did not kill the clan? We can only make assumptions. =^_^=

Sasuke saw him with his own eyes. unless it was an illusion, I believe he did it.
He killed them...if not...who will? Some noobz say that the leader of the Akatsuki killed the Uchiha clan...haha Like I fall for that....anyway...he did kill his own family...PERIOD.
well ive read the manga up to the latest chapter and ive followed the japanese anime and the "dubbed" version and in all of it'it sounds the same he either did it to unlock the mangeoku sharingan <wait he murdered shishui for that.> then he "tested" it out on his clan

i've always thought that too... i never believed that itachi killed his clan. Im a big itachi fan. maybe it's just bias.. but yea
