I think the dubbed version of Naruto sounds fine, the subbed version is better but its still good.
I like the dub they did on Ergo Proxy, but my fav one must be Fullmetal Alchemist! Normally I don't watch dubs though, cause stuff like Escaflowne and Naruto just sound... stupid.
Naruto does a good job. They used to do a good job with me until Cartoon Network ran out of $$$.

Shaman King russian version, voices are really cool, very well matching..I watched english version too and it wasn't that bad too except ann's voice which i just couldn't bare, I'd watch it in japanese but then again yoh's voice was so pesky that I just couldn't..
but when it comes to all other anime's ofcourse i prefer watch subs and suggest that to everyone else too, and bytheway naruto dub is so much worse then in original..I mean, naruto in jap rocks
Fist of the Northstar...the movie was absolutely hilarious...love the mega ultra violence...couldn't enjoy it more...and it was one of the first anime to bring me back into watching anime fulltime. Decent voice acting.
I just finished watching Ghost in the Shell Standalone Complex...and the voice acting was pretty much on the money. That is about it. But when I watch the second season of Ghost in the Shell SAC...it will be in the original Japanese. As you said...for some of us...voice acting is horrendous. They use the same five actors...and when they don't...they hire someone who sounds just like those five. YUCK!! Not to mention how they change the story around so often...double yuck!!
Back to the topic...Fists of the Northstar is my favorite dubbed anime. The acting is laser-precise...and none of the actors sounds bored and just walking through his role. The laziness of many dub actors...is nowhere in evidence. Good stuff.
I have watched a couple hundred dubbed anime over the last fifteen years. I know that of which I speak.
