Death note episode 8 and 9 question Warning:spoiler?!
Question: im on this website that shows death note epsiodes in sub i really dont like sub but i cant for adult swim. but anyway i have a question i've thought on epsiode 8 the woman who was with the FBI agent dies and that was the end. then on epsiode 9, the beginning L thinks that it's Lyte and come to find out he was just looking at magazines and the death god walking weird and im so confused. do i have the epsiodes mixed up? when did L decide that lyte was kira? and whats with the death acting weird in the beginning? can someone help me i dont want to skip any epsiodes

Okay the FBI agent that Kira (Light) manipulated was named Rey Penbar. And Penbar's finacee became suspicious that someone that Penbar met on the bus had to be Kira, because it seemed odd that there was a busjacking and the busjacker died - she thought it seemed like a Kira thing to do.
So Naomi (her name) went to police headquarters and wanted to talk with the head of Kira investigation because she was dead set on the idea that Kira could not only kill criminals but control their actions before they died. Unfortunately for Naomi she met Light there and they started talking. Light found out from her what she thought about Kira and he was shocked, he asked her his name and she gave him one. Then he pretended that he was writing the information she told him down, but instead he wrote her name in the Death Note. However Naomi did not die - that's when Light realized that she gave him a false name.
Naomi said she was happy that she talked to Light because now her suspicions of Kira were correct. Light did not want her to tell this to headquarters because then L would only be closer to catching him. So he probed her more and then lied to her by telling him that he was also part of the investigation and he wants her to join, but he needs her name and a valid peice of ID. Naomi trusted him; so she gave Light her Japanese drivers license and Light once again pretended to write down the information, but he wrote her name in the Death Note. He wrote her as death by suicide and no one would find her body. So he killed Naomi and he thought he was safe.
However L became awfully suspcious because first all the FBI agents including Rey Penbar die, and then Penbar's fiancee dissapears. He knows that Naomi would NEVER kill herself. L worked on a case with her and knew that she was headstrong and would only work harder to find Kira, not commit suicide.
The conclusion he came up with was that one of the people that Rey Penbar was investigating had to have been Kira. Why else would they also kill Naomi?
It turns out that the 2 people Penbar was investigating was a family member of a cop and the family member of head cheif Yagami -- Penbar was investigating Light Yagami. So L decided that in both houses they would put surveillence camera's and bugs and watch what Light and the other suspect are doing.
However the next day when Light gets home he immediately notices that something is wrong. Right away he figures that someone was in the house and they probably set something up in the house. L and the Head Chief Yagami (Light's dad) watch the cameras and don't notice anything weird. That's only because Light was already onto them (so he was trying to act like a normal teenager by reading magazines and such). Plus he was being extra cautious of the Death Note and Ryuk.
Ryuk (Death God) was acting weird because he was in withdrawl without his daily dose of apples. After Light suspected of the bugs and camera's he went out for a walk, so he could talk to Ryuk safely. He asked Ryuk to check the house for cameras and what not and Ryuk said okay - only if he still got his apples. But Light asked him if a Death God eats an apple is the apple still visible, even if the Death God is invisible. Ryuk tells Light that Light can see Ryuk eating an apple but to other people it would look like an apple was been eaten by nothing and just being devoured in midair.
That's why Light forbids Ryuk from eating apples in the house because there are 64 cameras set up. Therefore Ryuk goes into withdrawl. Symptoms include him jumping on his head and twisting around and stuff.
