What makes Anime so great?!

SOME anime just blows me away. Hellsing is my favorite, so I'll use it as an example.
The art style of Hellsing is pretty different from the other, run-of-the-mill anime. It's sharper, more darkly-toned, and generally more real-looking (especially the OVAs). The story centers around an organization devoted to combating the supernatural (ghouls, vampires, werewolves, to name a few), AND Nazis. Can't forget the Nazis.
The main character is Alucard (a.k.a. Lord Vlad, the Impaler; Count Dracula). He carries a pair of bigass guns and has a kickass kind of attitude. It's violent and awesome.
If you check out ANY kind of anime without prior experience, you should definitely check out Hellsing.
the story and the animation (CG character designs and everything...)... plus the soundtrack for some...

SOME anime great because of it's good looking drawing (it's fun to see some characters of anime because they're drew so cute), and great stories on it.
Well, the diff between animes and real people drama are the meaning of the show. In animes, the meaning of it is pretty easy to get.And anime have a lot more humor than real person drama TV shows.
The storyline, the characters, the plot, the jokes, the complexity of the story, the adventure, different style of drawing with one and another, and of course with the American animations, The voice actors, and in some, the songs….

Each anime has a different level of greatness, and each person has a different view of that level.
Anime is great because we get to see depiction of life, (usually of humans or similar beings), in motion without seeing actual living things. Also, seeing the different styles in which people are drawn becomes fun to watch, especially if you like the style. These factors are what sets apart anime from the rest of the media also presenting a fictional story, movies, books, comics.
Deciding on a personal level the greatness of a particular anime (there are hundreds of titles to choose from) depends on the value you place in certain factors. Style? Plot? Setting? Characters? Music? Voice acting? Animation? Special effects? Colors? Then you go into your preferences: a heavy story, or a light one? Genre?
Kinda like that. So, for me, some anime are greater than others, for their different aspects.
