Aside from one of them actually looked like Naruto and is usually shown as the Akatsuki Leader? I think not.
When we add the prophecy into the situation, Jiraiya will have to make an ultimate decision, and the result will be either:
- That destined child will actually destroy the world in the end; or
- That destined child will actually become the world's savior.
If Pain is really the destined child, what will Jiraiya have to do? Kill him or persuade him? I don't think his decisions are this easy. And as I apply the prophecy into the whole thing, I really think that Pain is not that destined child. It would be someone else instead. >_>
So I think Jiraiya will escape, although barely alive, because if he did die now, he wouldn't be able to fulfill the prophecy mentioned by the Lady Ol' Frog.... hehehe. And I really hope for it.

I'm not sure about Pain. With how Jiraiya is reacting when he learns more about him, i'm not even sure if hes human anymore. To be powerful enough to scare someone like Jiraiya, and to have a prophecy saying he'll either lead a revolution or destroy the world, doesn't give me much hope for Jiraiya in the fight. I really don't want him to die because his antics are hilarious, but if his suspicions are right, I just don't see how he'll be able to escape alive.
