Is Monkey D. Luffy from the hit anime series ONE PIECE, some how related to Gold!
Question: I haven't seen much of the series yet and I'm dying to know if Luffy is some how related to the pirate king GOLD ROGER.

In the manga, Dr. Kureha revealed that it is really Gol D. Roger, which leads one to assume that there is the possibility of being related to luffy and his ilk, since they all share the "D" middle name. those that have already been listed are:
Monkey D. Luffy
Portgas D. Ace (Luffy's Brother)
Monkey D. Dragon (Luffy's Father)
Monkey D. Garp (Luffy's Grandfather)
Marshall D. Teach (Blackbeard)
Jaguar D. Saul (the Giant)
And Gol D. Roger... At present, it is still a mystery on what exactly the connection of these characters aside from blood relation of luffy to some of them, it could be that they are part of a big family or then again it maybe something else.

the mystery of the "D" is all the problem!!! bu I don't think that there is a family connection between Luffy and Gold D. Roger!!! They just have the same goal. I'm at the 330 éps and nothing can prove that they have any family links...
