Who would win in a fight Gaara or Sasuke(IF he gets more powerful than his broth!
Question: So say Gaara gets crazy powerful again and brings out his animal and Sasuke gets more powerful than his brother Itachi. Who would win??

It is absolutely Sasuke. Even if Gaara still had the shukaku inside of him, which most of these people answering seem to think he does, Sasuke would still beat him. Just from watching the invasion of Konoha and seeing that Sasuke was faster than Gaara's sand back then, and knowing now that he is so much faster than he was back then as demonstrated in episode 1 of Shippuuden. Even if he never learned any other techniques while training with Orochimaru, chidori would still be more than enough. All he has to do is get close enough to use it, and being as fast as he is, there would be nothing Gaara could do to defend himself. Bottom line, Sasuke is too fast for Gaara to deal with.
And if someone would pay attention, Gaara's chakra type is wind, not earth.
It has got to be Sasuke. If he was faster than Gaara's sand 3 years ago, he will be much faster than it is now, especially since he lost the shukaku. And, now Sasuke has techniques powerful enough to take Gaara down. So whether he becomes stronger than Itachi or not doesn't really matter, he already has the capability to defeat Gaara as is.
i THINK ... Gaara would win because naruto hardly won!
(At the risk of sounding nerdy) I'd probably hand the trophy to Sasuke. He's very well-trained and is overly competitive, refuses to lose, especially against Naruto...
.... although I'd hand the trophy to Naruto if that Nine-Tail Fox power he has sealed up inside him was released... talk about being an animal. I pretty sure no matter how powerful Sasuke could ever get, he could never defeat that Nine-Tail Fox...
I mean, it would be kind of stupid for the show to be called Naruto if Sasuke was going to wind up being the most powerful Ninja from the Hidden Leaf Village, know what I mean?

m not sure if he's stronger then itachi but he is stroger then gaara i mean deidara defeated gaara and then sasuke defeated deidara hmm so sasuke would win
Sasuke don't have to surpress itachi to defeat Gaara. At his current ability Susuke can easily defeat Gaara, even with the Ichubi full awaikened.
Facts:
1. Deidara defeated Gaara Sasuke killed Deidara:
OK. Gaara didn't bring the Ichubi out to fight with Deidara and Sasuke barely survived Deidara. But this implies that Sasuke is more intelligent, tactful and capable of killing an Aktsuki member.
2. Sasuke has gotten more stronger than he was in the last 3 years. He has a full fleched Sharingan and some cool genjutsu using it. and ofcourse he has improved the chidori and he also has the full power of the cursed seal.
I don't think Gaara has gotten more powerful than he was. Even he's more powerful, Sasuke's Sharingan can supress Ichubi without any problems. it managed to supress the more powerfull chakra of the 9 tails inside Naruto when they met in Orichimaru's underground hideout.
Also the Sharingan managed to tric Orichimaru's Snake summon (i forgot the name) which was stobborn and gave even a hard time to Orichimaru to control it.
3. Chidori was able to pirce through Gaara's absolute defence once and with sasuke's newspeed, and the courced seal's powers I don't think it'll be problem for him to breach all Gaar's defences and attach him directly.
so Sasuke is more powerfull than Gaara. But Gaara is not a giveup type, remember the fight against Kimimaru?
So it's gonna be a great battle utimately Sasuke win
well if sasuke is more powerful than itachi then he would win because gaara lost against deidra who is less powerful than itachi
There's practically no contest between them. I haven't been watching Naruto for very long, but from what I see, Sasuke is probably the greatest ninja (okay, well, maybe except for the Hokage)...but still...If Naruto wasn't hoping to get the title of Hokage, I'd give it to Sasuke.......and in a fight against Gaara....Sasuke would trample Gaara....
uhmm.. in naruto shippuden, gaara was captured by the akatsuki, and extracted the one-tailed beast inside gaara, he died but chiyo-oba-san(elder of sand) gave her life to gaara, then later on. sasuke defeated orochimaru and obtained all of orochimaru's power and jutsus(techniques). so even if sasuke doesnt get stronger than itachi, theres a possibility that sasuke could beat gaara, even if hes the kazekage of the sand.
and correction.. gaara did not lose to deidara because deidara is stronger, he lost because he saved his village. and deidara did not fight gaara fair and square.
and.. sasuke did not killed deidara. and he did not beat deidara because he is stronger. deidara self-detonated himself. so its not a clean victory on the part of sasuke. he even sacrificed manda just to save his ***. he even nearly got killed.
uhmm... in addition.. sasuke did not supress the kyuubi's chakra, its just a mere illusion(genjutsu) created by sasuke inside naruto's mind. duh!
and.. on the taijutsu part? i dont see the point, can sasuke beat gaara's ultimate defense using just taijutsu? i mean, if hes not rock lee right? man.
