The platinum edition is valued at $30 according to www.comicspriceguide.com. www.milehighcomics.com has a NM copy for sale for $20. I didn't really look around much, but most other websites will probably have a similar price to that.

It's actually a fairly rare comic even on Ebay and what not since it was published during the dark days of the comic industry. The only completed listing that I could find on there sold for $65 but it was also professionally graded at 9.8 which makes it a lot more valuable. I would guesstimate that you could probably sell a near mint copy on Ebay for $10-15 if you get lucky. You could also gamble and send it in to CGC to get graded. If it comes back as a high grade 9.8 or so, you should be able to get a similar price for the other one that I mentioned. If you can tell that it isn't in brand new condition, I wouldn't bother getting it graded cuz a low grade can actually make it worth even less especially with how relatively new it still is.

have you tried ebay?

If you want to order a subscription to 'The Darkness' or the latest issue, you can do so directly from Top Cow. If you want to sell it, I think you'll be lucky to get its estimated value (based on what it would cost to buy the item at three different comic book stores, minus the cost of shipping) of between 99 cents and a dollar and a half.

The only difference between a regular issue and a "Platinum Variant Edition" is the cover and it wasn't unusual to find new books with up to six different covers even a few years ago; it is harder and harder to find fools who will buy all issues of an comic on the speculation that one of the variant covers would become worth more than the others. Most new comics will never bring a resale price equivalent to the original cover price because supply of new comics exceeds the demand for the same.
