the answer is yes..they do giggle and squeal in real life....en their very high skirts in skul its all real..i've been to japan a couple times since its my fav. country..u'll hear the gurls sayin wen der is somethin cute "Kawaii!!" or "Sugoi!!!"...that kind of stuff
I know and am friends with several Japanese women and they are all highly educated, quiet and extremely respectful. Not a giigler or squealer in the bunch.
I was an exchange student my junior year of High School and I went to Japan and yes the teenage girls giggled and squealed all the time.

She said that the way you see them in anime, with their school girl outfits in little groups, giggling and squealing, that's exactly how they are in real life.

Yep they do but most of the girls and characters in the anime ARENT japanese..they just speak that language
