Dragon Ball GT Question?!

Question: I've always wondered and never understood why GT was a shorter series than Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. I thought it was good why wasn't it as long as DB which was like 150 episodes or DBZ which was 271 episodes. I've heard people didn't like it that's why it was so short. Is that true? Does anyone know for sure?

it's a spinoff done by another artist, but under the supervision of akira toriyama (dragonball creator) that could be why it was made so short.

aparently people didn't like the change from fighting to more humor and stopped watching it, so the rating went down and they cut it off.

Well originally I heard Akira Toriyama, creator of DB & DBZ, did not want to do another series after DBZ so he did not write any of the episodes so other writers wrote it, but in my opinion I think people liked it ,but I think people liked the original DB & DBZ more and did not really like the story and plot as much. That's what everyone I know said about GT.

As a teenager me and my peers grew up watching DBZ . With great anticipation we waited for GT. An it was boring a shitty. No DBZ fans I knew liked it as much as DBZ or DB. This is unfortunate . Not a good ending to a legendary anime.

Yes, that's a possible reason why DB GT is the shortest.
Honestly, It way too bored to watch and seem to the "flick" is no longer there. Unlike in DB and DB Z.
That's why the rating was down...
And the ending of Dragon GT was totally confusing..
