Naruto was not meant for kids, as I read the manga which carries a T rating (13+) and watch the Japanese language version of the anime, which has some content not meant for kids. Cartoon Network edited Naruto greatly, so kids could watch it when it airs.

in the US naruto falls between the ages of 13-17?(16 if im wrong)
Japan, its really for kids lol (I think, all the blood and stuff ;especially in the manga)
well, it is origionally geared for boys about the age of 12-15 but i am older and love it. i dont think anything is wrong with it, unless you are watching it dubbed, then it is stupid. but your "friends" just dont understand the character development and just dismiss it as "childish" i think naruto is definately the third best anime.

It would just depend. In the US, Cartoon Network edited out a lot of the blood, gore, and language, so kids can watch it. However, the Japanese version still has that stuff, so it would just depend on what you want your kids to watch. Other than that, it's for everyone.
