What is the difference between Cardcaptor Sakura and Tsubasa Chronicles?!

Question: I want to know if it's basically a copy of cardcaptors or what.

Answers: I want to know if it's basically a copy of cardcaptors or what.

Tsubasa Chronicle, which is the anime, was based on the manga Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, created by CLAMP. CardCaptor Sakura was also based on manga by CLAMP. CLAMP is a mangaka group which is currently made up of 4 women.

Sakura and Syaoran are crossover characters from CSS in TRC. They're in a different world and had a different upbringing and life than they did in CCS. TRC isn't the second season of CSS though, some people think it is but it's not. CLAMP often make characters from their previous or current works in TRC. For example, a persocom that looked like Chii was in TRC. Many of CLAMP's works are connected and there are many crossovers.

Edit :
Also while CCS is more of a magical girl/comedy series, TRC is shounen/adventure/action. They both have romance and some fantasy elements though. They are both similar in the sense that the characters are collecting things. In CSS it's cards while in TRC it's Sakura's feathers.

WHAT ??

The answer to that question is NO!!!
CCS and TRC are 2 completley different stories-even thought they both use the same main characters. while CCS is about sakura and syaoran's search for clow cards, TRC is about syaoran, fay, kurogane and mokona's quest to find sakura's feathers which are her memories.
CCS is an anime that appeals to the female audience whereas TRC appeals a bit more to male due to the fact that there is more action.
TRC does cross over with XXXHoLiC, which is quite interesting to note.
so even though there are some characters that are the same, the stories do not have any relevance to each other whatsoever. TRC is basically a story with characters from different animes of CLAMP put together-every CLAMP fan's dream come true.

hope this helped!

Both are not the same.

Similarities:
- The series are made by CLAMP.
- Sakura and Syaoran are the main characters.

Differences:
- CardCaptor Sakura is more towards shoujo (manga and anime), Tsubasa is more to shounen.
- CCS is about a girl "catching" magical cards, while Tsubasa is about a boy searching for his princess' memories in the shape of feathers.
- The "world" in CCS is more towards real life reality; but Tsubasa's "world" are more towards imagination.
- Tsubasa has NO CLOW CARDS!
- In CCS, Sakura and Syaoran finally managed to confess their feelings to each other but it might be hard to happen in Tsubasa.
- Does CCS have any cross-over characters? No. Tsubasa has (from Chobits to Magic Knight Rayearth to X to RG Veda to xxxHolic... and oh yes, CCS itself).
- CCS has NO BLOODY SCENES! In manga, Tsubasa is more violent.

....I think that's all I can list. And no, Tsubasa is not a copycat of CCS considering they are both made by the same people.

Have a nice day. :)
