the fox becomes more friendly to naruto but overall the fox cant kill naruto or he will die as well

well later in shippuden his power go out of control making him grow tails one by one. The only thing I can remember is that the Nine tail fox doesnt want naruto to die since he inside of Naurto. Also that Naruto denied the power of the fox later on. He want to use his own strength not the nine tail fox strength. so I would say they are pretty much "far apart" friends.
I think so. But maybe they decide to pair up since the are one in the same and that if Naruto dies he dies.
