I have been very disappointed with all comic book movies because the origins, characters, and even names get changed. I can't understand why Hollywood just doesn't make them exactly like the original.
However, the new Iron Man movie getting ready to be released is nearly exactly true to the comic book.
I would love to see a Spectre movie. He would be the Freddy Krueger of heroes.
I think they should stay away from making movies that drastically change the original characters.
For example, the Silver Surfer did not have the powers as the movie depicts. Hollywood (for some stupid reason) gave him the powers of the Super Skrulls.

I always wanted to see a Green Arrow movie.
After hearing a rumour about a year ago that Warner Bros. wanted to do a Green Lantern movie and wanted it to star Jack Black made me hope WB and Hollywood would stay away from it.
I really liked X-Men II as a movie. I think Green Lantern or JLA would be great. For JLA they'd probably have to spend more than half the movie just introducing everyone so it might not work that well, so better not to make it if it can't be done well.
The best comic book turned movie? I'd have to say three, even though the first two are technically considered graphic novels. In no particular order...
The first one: 300.
The second one: Sin City!
Third one: Batman Begins!
I'm not sure what comic book I'd like to see them turn into a movie, but I would love for Hollywood to stay away from any comic book that they can't turn into a movie correctly. If you can't do a good job on it, leave it ALONE.
Batman Begins is probably the best superhero movie done to date, with the first Spiderman taking a close second.
Hollywood should unfortunately stay away from all comic-based movies in general, because they NEVER have and NEVER will get them completely right.
IF a comic movie could be done perfectly... hmm... Kingdom Come would be absolutely spectacular.
The best thing Hollywood could ever do in relation to graphic novels would be to make Sandman as an HBO special.
