Why are cartoons so violent when they use to be so funny but now it all wars etc!

Question: Does it appear that there is some hidden agenda in the entertainment industry that want kids to learn to be violent, not believe in God & make the think that gay people are normal & parents have no authority?.I personally do not think its healthy.I heard the news channel spend several minutes talking about a holloween custume for your dig, another about a big holloween party & what is acceptable, cant these morons do better than this or is it done delibertly to water down the intelligence of our society?

Some cartoons and animes are not for kids

Mind giving me an example of these cartoons that you speak of? I need to know so I can give a proper answer (-_-)

Edit: Okay, since I'm about to hit the sack and I don't know when you'll reply, I'm gonna leave you this advice.

As Inferno already said, if you don't want your kids to watch stuff like that, then be more attentive will ya? There's a little thing parents forget. It's called Rating. Trust me, looking at the ratings given to shows should give you an idea of whether or not your kids should watch it. Problem comes, when parents overlook it and let their kids watch. Then they blame the show and want it banned when it was their fault for not paying attention to the rating.

Also, if anime is what you mean by violent cartoons, then I'm sorry to tell you this but you are pretty shallow in dismissing them as such. I know a lot of anime that could be violent to your eyes but could also teach values if viewed at the right age.

If you wanna know more, send me message and we'll talk.

If you don't like it don't watch it. If you have kids, don't let them watch it either. It's all about personal choices and what you find acceptable. If you have kids, teach them values that will carry over until their adulthood. TV shouldn't take the place for teaching than a parent.

Modern Children are apparantly crying at Thomas the tank engine crashing all the time, the programme has received numerous complaints because of this, however the same episodes shown 20 years ago were not a problem.

The programmes arent the problem its the parents silly mental states.

What do you mean they used to be innocent? Maybe you parents just ran tapes of Veggie Tales but Loony Toons, Ren and Stimpy, Felix the Cat, Popeye The Sailor Man and all those cartoons where very violent. They didn't start doing anything about it until about 5 years ago when Nickelodeon put TV ratings on the show and realized what they were playing. That's when the really bad ones like Ren and Stimpy where pulled.

They make homosexuality "normal" so when kids get to school or when they grow up and go to work they think nothing of it instead of being prejudice. I have no problem with equal rights based on sexual orientation so you might want to bring that argument to the religion section.

Don't know if you realize this but you are trying to bash societies intelligence but you have several spelling and grammatical errors.

If you want to keep a better eye on what your kids watch, get the veggie tells movies. You can but or rent them just about anywhere.

may be u should show ur child Dragonballz lolll......
its not that violent (laughs at u with evil smile).

I'm sure there are cartoons out there for bigots like you, ("make them think that gay people are normal"), but I wouldn't know because I stay clear away from them.
