Are downloading songs from songbird illegal?!
Question: i downloaded this software called songbird and want to download anime songs like naruto . so is it legal to download songs from this software . if you know any other software can you please tell me?

I may be wrong but I don't think you can actually download songs with Songbird. It just searches for songs that are available on web pages and plays them from there or something like that. So if I'm right, using Songbird to play the songs is actually not illegal. I know the people that created Songbird are all about keeping everything they do legal, so I don't think that they actually made software that allows people to illegally download music.
If you want to LEGALLY download songs, the only two websites that I know of are spiralfrog.com and Qtrax, but spiralfrog is the better one out of the two.
Spiralfrog uses web advertising to pay for all the tracks that they offer for download and they have contracts with records labels, so it is completely legal unlike peer to peer software like Limewire and Bearshare. The problem with spiralfrog is that they don't have the greatest selection of music right now (they are only a few months old, but it seems like they are adding more and more songs each week). I've been using it for a few months and like it, but the downloads are all copyrighted so you can't play them on anything but your computer. I doubt you're going to be able to find the anime songs that you are looking for on there though, but you never know unless you try. Good Luck.

If it's free then it probably is illegal, unless they've signed for the copyright for ALL of the songs within their database (which I HIGHLY doubt they did [unless they're UBER-RICH]).

Most people are doing this with limewire and i think that it is.
Lime wire is good but i screws up your computer if you don't have a good firewall plus, some song dont but ITunes is not free but it is only a 1$ per song and 10$ for an album
Yes it's illegal downloading song(s) from any software besides you have a high risk getting all kind of viruses,trojans,malwares,spywares etc as it is all clear that "NOTHING COMES FREE"
