My boyfriend read the whole manga in one day. He got me watching the show, and I didn't want to watch anything else. Once you get into it you won't stop. On top of that the songs at the end are really creepy. If you want a mind trip this is a must.
There is to be a english movie coming about based on the story but I'm not holding much stock in it. The anime is basically word for word from the manga so track down either one.
