Why didn't smallville clark fly from the biggening?!
Question: how come clark kent hasen't beet able to fly from the biggening of the series???

i just want to know who decided to take his ability of flying and why?
i know the decided to kill the superboy
we growed up with but, whats wrong with a
flying not superman klark?
and dont tell me flying would make him SUPERMAN. cause going hero its really up to him..
dont tell me that he can't fly "cause he's afraid of heights" (thats an excuse the writers made up) just tell me a very good reason!!! ( oitoi figujoo)

The developers of the show itself said that if Clark could fly then it wouldnt be Smallville, it would be Metropolis. They wanted to keep Clark as pre-Superman as possible and flying is the only thing is holding him back from that status.

Because he had not developed his full powers yet. Just as a Human BOY does not have the same strength as a full grown man, SuperBOY did not poses the same strength as the Fully grown Superman. He just needed time to develop. Also, he may not have been aware of his true power potential. Remember, he had to learn a lot about who he was, and where he came from and his past from the ship and from others of his kind, and from the Luthors, and that whacked out scientist trying to help him. He learned more about his abilities and his true nature as the series continued. Think about it. What fun would it be if he started off with all his powers and abilities full strength, it would have left him or the series without anywhere to go or room grow.
A. learn to spell check, and or Type
B. For all of his powers, its Flight and "Truth, Justice, and The American Way" that make Superman well Superman
C. as far as Canon, ever since 1986 canon has been that CK doesn't know Squat about Krypton until he's mid 20's.
D. Clark hasn't been Super 'Boy' in any real story since the 70's. The Salkinds made the late 80's series about a college aged CK in tights, but only called him 'boy' because they sold their rights to Super'man' after Superman 3 in 87
E. 'Superboy' now typically refers to Connor Kent/Kon El the Superman clone from the Doomsday Story arc, later ret-conned to be a partial clone of Lex as well
F. if you've been watching the Show, you may have noticed that when he's under Red K as Kal, he can. The Jump at the start of Season Four, where he leaps up and breaks into Lex's Jet was essentially a Flight, in Crimson he jumped from the Planet to the Clock Tower his landing was far to soft for a simple jump. Even in 'Reckoning' when he took Lana to the FoS, and proposed, he scooped her up and jumped from one platform to another. two of these he's under 'the influence', but in Reckoning He's finally comfortable around Lana, so for the story I think its a matter of psychology, and that he's just not comfortable with that ability, seeing as it would be the one that truly separates him fom humanity.
Theoretically there are Psychics who can 'see' through things, Pyrokinetics who can set fires from across a room, strong men/women who can lift massive things, even people who can take trauma w/o getting hurt or heal rapidly. add to whats real in our reality with the human extremes he's witnessed in the SV Universe, Flight is the only thing that only Aliens have achieved.
