There's nothing wrong with liking anime. Don't repress your enjoyments. What I suggest is that you find a girl who shares your interests. If your school has an anime club, join it, don't be afraid to show your interests. Meet a girl who likes anime too, share your common interest, go watch anime movies. It's your life, don't let girls change it

Silence fool. I'm 15 and I think you're complaining too much. If a girl dislikes you simply because of your interest in anime she's not worth it. High school relationships don't last anyway. If you really want to change your life than theres nothing we can do on here. It's up to you. Good luck and learn to grammar.

okay well i dont know why your so worried about this situation. First of all you need to stop being so shallow not all girls will get turned off if you like anime. Besides if its something you really love your never gonna be happy without it! So try to find a girl that will like you for you and everything you like. Trust me they are out there.

Ok, now heres my view on things.
Im 13, i love Anime, im a yaoi fangirl, i have wallscrolls/poster of Anime, i collect Anime and Manga, etc...and i do it because its FUN. I could really care less about what others think; You shouldn't either. And if i wanna date some guy, im gonna tell him " I LIKE ANIME", if he doesnt, cool, i respect his interests/opinion(and he'd better respect mine). ;3
But seriously..you're way too paranoid. :|

You'll meet a lot of girls when you get older, and you're bound to find one who likes Anime. Um..but if you're really desperate to find a girl who likes it....go to an Anime Convention,or..go to "Interpals" a website to find people who have the same interests as you.

Weird. When you were '22' I didn't take anything you said seriously...now that I know you're 14 and worried about what girls think, I understand and CAN take you seriously.
Since we're being honest, I'm 35 and have been collecting Flintstones toys and memorabilia for about 25 years. I have a room (my art studio) filled with dolls, toys, games, drinking glasses, school supplies, cars, figures, books, records, banks...anything you can think of with The Flintstones on it. It's my shrine, it's the place that brings me the most inner peace...at my drawing table surrounded by my friends from Bedrock.
I've had quite a few girlfriends in the past 25 years, some of them were pretty shocked when they see the amount of stuff I have, most of them didn't mind my hobby. Some would actually find me pieces for my collection at garage sales or antique stores and surprise me with them.
Some people will be very supportive of your hobbies, some will find it childish and immature...those are the people you do NOT want to be with. Because if they can't accept your hobby, what else won't they accept? Your parents? Your siblings? Your pets? Your religion?
Just remember, be true to yourself. Don't not like something because you're afraid of what other people may think. Just try not to let your hobby take over your life. When talking to a girl, mention that you're into anime, but don't keep rambling on and on about it. In other words, don't let your hobby become an obsession.
As for the career thing, you're young...you'll eventually find what you're good at. Just be realistic with your goals.
You have an advantage over me...you're going to find more girls who are into anime than I could ever find who are into The Flintstones.
