Who are the Akatsuki?!
Question: I know there is Itachi, Deidara, and Kisame, but I heard there are more. Is Obito one of them, and who are the others?

Im going to give you two answers...the first one will have no spoilers and the second one will so its your choice to which one you read kk....
Okay well at the beginning there are nine Akatsuki members...
-Pain
-Konan (the only girl)
-Sasori
-Deidara
-Kisame
-Itachi
-Hidan
-Kakuzu
-Zetsu
-Orochimaru
After Ochimaru left the Akatsuki he was replaced by Deidara who became partners with Sasori who was Orochimaru's old partner...
and after Sasori dies Tobi becomes a member....
Now the answer with spoiler....if you dont wish to know the what is happening now in the manga which is really far ahead please dont read!

After Ochimaru left the Akatsuki he was replaced by Deidara who became partners with Sasori who was Orochimaru's old partner...
And after Sasori dies Tobi becomes a member and is paired with Deidara...
Then afterwards Hidan and Kakuzu get into a battle with Asuma and Shikamaru along with some other shinobi from the leaf....Asuma is killed by Hidan however as revenge Shikamaru is able to destroy him (he can't be killed because he is immortal)....however no one replaces him
Kakuzu is defeated by Naruto, as Naruto is able to destroy two of his hearts and brings his third one to the brink of failure...in which Kakashi finishes him off...and he too is not replaced
Deidara commits suicide in a desperate last attempt to kill Sasuke, with his C4 in which he explodes himself along with anything in a 10 kilometer radius...however Sasuke survives as he hides in Manda in which only he dies....Deidara is not replaced once he commits suicide...
Therefore, the last remaining members are....
-Pain/Negato-the leader
-Konan-the only girl
-Tobi
-Zetsu

and if you wish to know who the most powerful of the remaining members are in my opinion i would have to say...in order it would be...
1.Pain- besides being the akatsuki leader he has the kekkei genkai Rinnegan which is the most revered of the three great eye techniques wichfirst possessed by the Sage of the Six Paths , said to be the founder of the ninja world...no to mention the first ninjutsu was rived from his abilities....and Pein, is the current and only known user of this ability...
2.Tobi- if he truly is Madara Uchiha, then he is most likely as, if not more powerful then Pain....his power is said to match that of the kyuubi....not to mention he is suspected by jiraiya to have been the one to have summoned the kyuubi which would have taken more chakra than the kyuubi himself has...Tobi also has the sharingan which he also has the Mangekyo Sharingan which means he has as much power than Itachi since he not only has the Mangekyo Sharingan but also the power and chakra stronger that of the kyuubi...
3. Itachi- he masters in all the different areas of ninjutsu, genjutsu and taijutsu...he not only being a prodigy as a child he is also a cold hearted person who doesn't let aspects of a battle affect him making him have almost a shell when it comes to emotional affect...his Mangekyo Sharingan is the first one to be seen after many years in the Uchiha clan...with the Mangekyo Sharingan, Itachi is able to use the two most powerful jutsu of the Uchiha clan...the first is Tsukuyomi and the second jutsu is Amaterasu...however his weakness is that both of these jutsus, use up massive amounts of chakra; so Itachi becomes exhausted from using just one, and using them both consecutively forces him to deactivate his Sharingan, a rare occurrence for him...and it also is know to affect his eye sight...
Kisame- he has a weapon is called Samehada, a scale-covered sword that shaves off skin instead of cutting.... his Samehada is also capable of absorbing untold amounts of chakra...Samehada only allows Kisame to wield it; if anyone else tries to pick it up, spikes protrude from its handle and it returns to Kisame's side...therefore even if he were to be disarmed his weapon would return to him willingly...he like his partner Itachi has a cold heart in which he rather enjoys torturing his opponents and seeing them endure pain...this makes his emotions have a fuel when in battle making it difficult to defeat him...he specializes in water jutsu and has a 30% power even when he fights....at one point his chakra supply is compared to that of a Nine-Tailed Demon Fox-enhanced Naruto...however he doesn't seem to be as skilled in taijutsu as maybe Itachi or Guy....
5. Konan- she can divide her body into countless numbers of paper sheets...and those sheets can be controlled individually and formed into various shapes for a number of purposes, such as butterflies for scouting or generic weapons for attack. Konan can even form wings from that allow her to fly...however we haven't seen much of her strenght...therefore i can't really say much...however it does seem she was unable to defeat jiraiya meaning she most likely isnt at a sannin level but she was more than able to hold up her end of fighting, so we are yet to see her full power...her weakness is the fact that if her papers become wet she isn't able to control them properly, as paper clings to itself and loses its stiffness
6. Zetsu- he serves more as a spy and human disposal xD for the akatsuki rather than a fighter...however his abilities to use the Leech All Creation: Attack Prevention Technique to which he is able to merge with anything and instantly travel to a new location....not to mention him being a carnivore @_@...he's definitely not someone you wish to encounter lol...we haven't seen his fighting skills...but until we do he's in the bottom lol..
