When using the magical, luck-giving Charm of Bezel, she is able to activate her magical powers. Later on, when she gets a hold of his Hex's staff, she was able to make it fire an energy blast. Gwen has started to tap into her magical powers to help Ben using a book of spells she took from Charmcaster in the episode "A Change of Face". According to Charmcaster, Gwen always had a natural ability to do magic because of her magical aura.
