Monologue in V for Vendetta - Allan Moore or Wachowski brothers?!

Question: Help me out - I have read in a million places the famous monologue by V when he meets evey hammond for the first time, but one question keeps nagging me and I can't seem to find the answer myself - was that monologue in the original comic book, or was it added into the movie by the wachowski brothers? I'd really appreciate a quick reply! Thanks!

The monolog where V uses all the v words is by the wachowski brothers. I have a hard time imagining Alan Moore doing something like that with V.

You should read the comic if you haven't already, it's so much better than the movie.

If you can wait until this evening I can tell you. I don't have a copy in work y'see.

I just looked at my copy of the comic and I cannot find V's V monologue. If it's in the original comic it's not in same place for sure. I think it's well suited to the character and the movie though, and it' delivered very well by Weaving.
