I loved the first season...not really as violent as you would think...if you want to check it out before you buy it...go to nabolister on your computer and under tv series you can find episodes to watch at no cost...then you will be sure if it is for you or not....
I enjoyed the first season of Dexter. It is graphic and violent. In each episode there is a murder and several expletives used. There are some sex scenes. If I could find it for 19.99 I would buy it. If your not sure about purchasing it try seeing if you local blockbuster has it and rent it.
