I'm an L fan all the way. His unique character appealed to me lots, and though he *insert spoiler here,* I adored his affinity for sweets!

dont get me wrong, i LOVE L!!
But Light is my fave!! hes sooo cool and awesome!! even though he was panicking on the inside he always looked so cool and collected. (except for the end of the show....) he was so smart in that sort of "ideal student" way and i think he is just sooo hot!!
i was sad when L died... but when Light died...well... i have never cried for a character in an anime like that... it was soooo bad/sad.
it was as if all his dreams came falling right before my eyes.... thats how awesome of a character he was!! he made such a twisted thing as killing people look so... right??
well, light. i love that guy!!! no comparison!!
and then L!

Its actually Lighto which means Light in English. When Japs translate a word to English or speak an English word. They can’t exactly enunciate the words in English properly due to the fact that Japanese alphabet contains vowels unlike ours.

Example of Japanese Alphabets Syllabary (Hiragana) :

between L or Light(Raito), I'd choose L, he's so cool, he has a unique style actually, but I do love Light too!

Ryuk and Light?
I'd choose Light for sure, I don't have any feelings for Ryuk, for me, he's just a mere shinigami who loves to eat apples, nothing special about Ryuk, I'd choose Light surely!

but if you say Rem or Ryuk, I'd choose Rem because she/he loved Misa, and even sacrified her/his life for saving Misa by killing L : (
sorry, I dunno whether Rem is a male or a female :P
