That's a tough one as DC hit with individual icons (Superman, Batman & Wonder Woman)...Marvel's staple is in teams (Fantastic Four, Avengers and The X-Men being my top 3 in teams). In terms of their stance as icons, I'd rank them as Captain America, Spider-Man and The Hulk

The Three Biggest Heroes I'd say would be Spiderman ... Captain America... and the Fantastic Four....yes I know that last one isn't a single person but its a single entity in many eyes... They are the Icons of Marvel... Makes you wonder why they killed one of their Icons.
