based on what youve watched:

gilgamesh: post apocalyptic/future anime. kinda dark but very good. great/extremely sad ending.

E's otherwise: futuristic anime. humans vs. psychics. the psychics are basically trying to wipe out the human race. also very good ^^

rahxephon: future/mecca anime. the world is in chaos with pieces of earth dissapearing. theres a race of those with red blood and those of blue. action and drama and all ^^

angel sanctuary: sestuna finds out that he is the reincarnation of the great angel alexiel. angels vs. demons type thing. oh! hes in love with his sister, sara!! really awesome!!

innocent venus: post acapocalyptic sci-fi. the upper class is basically controling the lower class. there are alot of military type battles, hiding, running, and all that. really good!!

gundam seed: mecca/future anime. theres a war between the plants and earth and a whole lot of hotties and fighting. a bit if romance and action packed! so good >< its very military like and all ^^

dn angel: one day daisuke finds out that there is soneone else in his body (or within his DNA). it so happens to be the legendary phantom theif dark. whenever hes near the one he loves he transforms into his "dark" version. alot of robbery and great action between dark and his rival (so sexy) krad!

fruits basket: this is more of a sweet story. its funny (not a comedy) and lovely. the characters are cute/hot and very original. its a very placid story. its basically about a girl whos mom dies. she begins living in a tent when the cursed sohma family takes her in.

red garden: a bunch of girls that the only connection they have with eachoher is one friend, are all murdered. they are then given "borrowed" time so that they can fight these "men" things. its a very mature type anime ^^

ima more into shojo stuff but theres some good stuff in shojo too thats not too sappy.

Well, I also like those and I watch others too. I would prefer one piece, or sailor moon(if you like fantasy). I prefer One Piece because its about a pirate fighting to get this treasure, but sometimes it might get stupid. I am kinda a fantasy/anime fan, so I would prefer sailor moon. Sailor moon is about this group of girls having mystical powers and trying to save the world.

If you want series try Bubblegum Crisis, Trigun, Mobile Suit Gundum, Gokuson, Inu Yasha, Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z (the Japanese version is the better one). I would also suggest Ranma 1/2 only because it's funny.

If you want movies try Akira, Castle in the Sky, Howl's Moving Castle, X, Spirted Away, Princess Mononoke, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Ghost in the Shell. There is another series of movies called something Demon Hunter. Its about a teenaged girl that becomes a Demon Hunter. I thought they were pretty good.

My favorite ever is Tokyo Mew Mew. It's about a group of girls who have been injected with the DNA of endangered species. They have to save the world from aliens. It's really the best! You can get it at animebolt.com
but NEVER watch Mew Power, the english version. It's cheesy, icky, and not too nice.

ZOMBIE-LOAN
Michiru Kita is a special girl who possesses Shinigami Eyes, which allows her to see a dark ring around a person's neck. This ring symbolizes the person's impending death; once they are marked to die, a gray ring, which is invisible to normal people, appears around their neck. Over time, the ring gets darker, and once the ring turns completely black, the person dies. Chika Akatsuki and Shito Tachibana, two boys in her class, both have black rings around their necks, but to her surprise, they are not yet dead. It is revealed that after a tragic accident that was supposed to kill them both, the two boys made a deal with a secret loan office called the Zombie-Loan. In return for keeping them alive, the two have to hunt zombies for the loan office. When Michiru gets involved with them, she finds that her life has just become more complicated.

D GRAY_MAN
The plot, which takes place at the end of a fictional 19th century Europe, revolves around Allen Walker. Allen is a member of the Black Order, a group of Exorcists connected with the Vatican. Their mission is to stop The Millennium Earl, an evil ghoul planning to cleanse the world by destroying all humans in the manner of Noah's great flood.

The Exorcists themselves are special people gifted with the ability to control and use Innocence, a divine substance created in the ages past to combat the Earl's minions, the Akuma. It is said that there are exactly 109 units of Innocence scattered around the world. Once an Innocence finds its compatible person, it will evolve to become a weapon to fight the Akuma.

As the story progresses, Allen is introduced to more Exorcist characters, among them are Yu Kanda, Lenalee Lee, Lavi, Arystar Krory, and Miranda Lotto. Also in the spotlight are the older brother of Lenalee Lee, Komui Lee, the church's science department supervisor; Bookman, a mysterious colleague within the church; and Cross Marian, a General in the Organization and Allen's master.

More villains also appear along the way. There are higher level Akuma, with greater power, skill, and intelligence. Also appearing is the Clan of Noah, a group of humans descended from Noah himself. Each member is gifted with great power, and the group has allied themselves with the Earl.

Several characters are named after silver jewelry brands. General Cross's golem, Timcanpy, draws its name from Tim Campi Design. The names of Road Kamelot and Tyki Mikk are taken from the "Lord Camelot" and "Tiki Mic" designs.

Well, you're talking about MUST-SEE's, so....
These three movies got high marks in reviews and stuff:
Akira, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away

I've seen Akira and I feel like its a better version of neon genesis evangelion all in one movie, I liked it.
I saw Howl's Moving Castle because it's considered one of those anime movies you "should see" even though I didn't think it was too special it has a large amount of fans and got good reviews and your taste is a little different from mine so I feel you may like it.
I never saw Spirited Away, but its by the same famous producer who made Howl's Moving Castle, so if you like one I assume you'll like the other.

As for series, I feel that Cowboy Bebop is a "must see", and Trigun is my favorite so of course I feel that someone would want to have watched it :)
