Answers: I really like drawing anime and other stuff. I want to make a graphic novel or manga. I don't know what to do or where should I start. any advice?

I had the same problem when I started my first manga. First, think of all the anime you watched, manga you read and think if you want your story to be similar to one of them or not anything like them at all.
Second (or you can do this first) what genre do you want it to be/enjoy? Shojo, mystery, drama, action/adventure, or etc. If you really enjoy reading/ watching a certain kind of genre, it'll be easier to make the plot of the story.
Third, once you've done that Think of characters name and how they look like(you can do the looks later if you want to finish the story first) Then start making the story. Example, Ericka: Stop! (chases thief)
Fourth, you've finished the plot the story line is complete, start sketching the characters, props, and background.(this may take a while)
Finally, start putting together the manga.
Through all of this you need to remember to relax, it takes a while, be patient, and of course to have fun!

The easiest way is to start by reading books or websites dedicated to manga and how to create your own. I know barnes and knobles now have a significant area for manga. now another way is by buying software to install on your computer that you can order on line or pick up at most wal-marts or order via walmart these will show you how to get things started and help with making you an expert artist anyways most of the books or software have links once you have mastered the drawing and storytelling showing you how to get ahold of other artist or companies hiring!! I'm just starting my own manga so here is where I started:

First you want to get a main story idea. Try to have it stand out. Sure you can use the concepts of shinobi like in Naruto or shinigami like in Bleach but add some extra things so you aren't copying them.

Then decide on the main character and decide whether you want them male or female and what is their character backround. Why are they there and etc. Then decide some friends and other people.

Come up with a name that fits their personality or something they do.

Then, draw out the charactes. Their details and angles in which they would be seen. Draw their weapons and draw some notes on the side saying what each thing is or for.

Then after you think you got a good beginning, start drawing out sketches of the manga and then start thinking of what will happen later on.

Also, mix your own style of drawing with other things. Say you like the anime Naruto or Bleach. you like how they draw their expressions or something. Mix your own talent and style of drawing and add a pinch of that into it.

I'll try to help as best as I can. You need to use your imagination and try getting ideas from anime shows you have watched. I recently finished a sketch that was inspired by an InuYasha character. And for the plot of the story, you can try to make one from your own experience in life or something similar to an anime show. You might want to draw the characters out first, then the setting, and then storyline. After you put all those ideas together, now you can make them into a book ^_^
