Who's the best stand-up comic out there to watch?!

Question: Hi Eva,

Please check out my favourite comedian Christopher Titus. I'll tell you why he's great. I've been suffering from severe/depression for the past several months and he is the first comedian to make me smile. Isn't that what comedians are for?

He's an inspiration to me because he's normal
functional person but his dad was alcoholic and his mother was manic
depressive/schizophrenia. How sad that is? Yet he's able to joke about it but you can tell he does love his family and he does give them credit for all the good they did but they weren't perfect but neither was he. He's a walking living inspiration for me. Most people I know who com from a dysfunctional family would be bitter or angry but you can see he is so normal. Christopher Titus talking about dysfunctional family as being normal:

Christopher Titus: Anti-Dad
Christopher talking about his father who was alcoholic. Since he was
5, he noticed his dad was saint when sober but come noon or beer
o'clock, he had an alter ego, like the most negative superhero on the
planet.

Christopher Titus: Mom's Thanksgiving
He talks about his manic depressive/schizophrenic mom who killed her
last abusive husband.

(There was another clip where he talks about his mother suicide but
somebody must have removed it. It was sad).

Hearing his sad family stories (but in a joking, tasteful fashion) and seeing how stable and functional he is gives me hope.

I hope you like him too and I know he's a white guy but please give him a chance and watch his act. Maybe he can cheer you up too and make your problems seem smaller.

By the way,you sound like you have a kind heart when I saw some of your other posts. You can email and let me know what you think.

I wish you best, even if you don't choose my answer.
