List ten of a specific genre? I dunno, man...
1) Rurouni Kenshin. Very great characters. I haven't watched in a LONG while, so I can't direct you to a specific episode. Thats going to be the case with all my recommendations...
2) Twelve Kingdoms (Juuni Kokki). This one is AWESOME.It'd be terrible if I pointed you to the episode I liked most, because thats the climax of the show, and you wouldn't understand whats happened at all. Its a whole new world, really, with its own set of rules.
3) Trigun. Has a similar character to Himura Kenshin, but not exactly. The setting is wayyyyyyyyyy different, and so's the story. Kinda. Lots of action! Funniness galore.
4) Heres not an anime, but a manga. It doesn't have an anime. Tokyo Crazy Paradise. Its schweet. Much action, much other stuff. Like romance (on a bigger level than RK)
5) Witch Hunter Robin. Cool concept! I like the mood and character design, and feel of the characters.
6) Full Metal Panic. Mecha stuff. Nice. Humor. Good style.
7)Wolf's Rain. Pretty good. Nice animation. Well, I like wolves. The plot had an appeal.
8) Samurai Champloo. Uh... yeah. Interesting twist-- hip hop and 19th century Japan. Well done. The characters' spirit is memorable.
9) Last Exile. Pretty soundtrack, cool designs, interesting setting, great animation, action. Not much for characters though.
***-well, I haven't seen it, but I'm interested. Cowboy Bebop.

Oh. I just realized you didn't want summary, but episodes for an AMV. Huh. Oh, well... you may like these animes anyway.

I'm not sure if you'll be interested in these, but maybe.

1) Sailor Moon (Start with Episode 1. You won't understand anything without it.)

2) Cardcaptor Sakura (All of the episodes are pretty actiony. Try the movies for a lot of action.)

And well that's all I have. I've also heard Full Metal Alchemist is good, but I've never watched it. Sorry if I didn't give you the specific things you wanted.
