Answers: I do like a lot of anime, but I was curious to know why a lot of hentai type movies anime girls are always attacked by monsters. Why is that?

Throughout Japanese history, there have been fluctuations in what is "appropriate" for the expression of people's sexualities. In the Edo period of Japan (1603-1863), a very famous wood carving of a woman having sex with a pair of octopuses was created by the artist Hokusai (circa 1820). This image of a woman enjoying herself at the hands of beasts, especially tentacles eventually became a euphemism for the sex act itself.

With the passing of obscenity laws in Japan more recently, it was illegal to show the actual act of sex between two people, even though nudity was allowed. So, artists got creative and were able to get around the system by creating sex crazed monsters, and trees with branches shaped like giant dildoes, because it was between a human and an inanimate object. Therefore, it was not real sex at all.

Now Japan is not as strict as it was a while ago with obscenity laws, but there are still certain parts of the body that cannot be shown in manga or anime (like the frenulum of a penis, or a woman's clitoris). Now, using hentai sex monsters is no longer so much of a necessity, but something fun and interesting. It has become more of a fantastical, creative outlet, with very deep roots in history.

Because hentai is a medium that allows people to pursue really obscure fetishes. If you want one woman having sex with one man, then you can find that with normal porn. If instead you are looking for giant monsters and tentacles and guro and whatever else that is imposible in real life, you need to go to hentai, so that's where a lot of the demand lies.

I have wondered that myself alot it's kinda gross but I guess it's the whole fantasy violence thing I mean what else would a giant horny beast do to a beautiful half naked chic before killing her you know he's gonna get his first but ,I think it's just like whats the worst thing that could be done next to death of scantaly clad heroins next to death.Like La Blue girl ,heck don't eventhink of watching Bible Black..trust me onthis one you'd rather see monsters.

i think a lot of it has to do with cultural stigma around showing actual SEX in the animations. Granted, it's still porn but it's kind of like the nosebleed thing, from what I understand. a stand-in for something else.

Because for some time, showing the male... organ was illegal on television. To get around this law, Tentacle Porn. And it just kinda took off from there.
