it a conflict with my firends one says thay r just lines he was born wit and the other one says he has whisker cuz of the nine tailed fox demon...
Answers: yes they are just because his 9-tailed fox demon is inside of him, i mean hey with a demon so powerful inside of you you would need some changes on the outside, and i guess to our knowledge its his mark! Yes he has them because of the nine tailed fox inside his body. I think the artist drew those on his face to make him look authentic. kinda like how Ash from pokemon has Z's on his face THEY ARE WHISKERS -- HE IS THE NINE-TAILED FOX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has them because of Kyuubi. Whenever Kyuubi's chakra leaks, his eyes become red, his hair becomes coarser and the whisker marks on his cheeks grow bigger. yeah duh I think so But no sure They are whiskers from the nine tail fox, the chakra flows out of his face from them too. They are whiskers. Naruto's alter ego is a nine-tailed fox Not a huge fan-boy or anything. I think that yes those are whiskers since a demon resides in him.
