Answers: Yes,I think he is a GAY!!.(actually,I don't like him!) he could be gay but who really knows or really cares at this point though I personally don't think he's gay. I think he's just easily bored with all of his power, and the long wait for the Hougyoku. (I have only seen the anime so far, but plan on skipping ahead with manga) Wouldn't you be bored if you were super-strong, but had nothing to do but wait? true true now we know why he went to hueco mundo. all the holes in the hollows. now he has multiple orffices to screw. If you take a look at most anime villains, quite a few of them act in that demeanor. It's a sign of confidence, that he cares so little for your presence that he's willing to be right in your face with an arrogant attitude rather then address you like a human being. The same thing can be said of Itachi Uchiha from Naruto, Nakago from Fushigi Yuugi, or a host of other villains from anime in general.
And as for the whole "gay" thing, that is more of a product of your culture, not the Japanese's. The Japanese are fairly confident and open in their sexuality, so they don't really have the qualms about homosexuality as much as Western nations, in particular the United States. It's always been amusing to me when people are willing to accept the action, quality, and storylines of anime but are unwilling to accept the androgyny, veiled sexuality, and anti-Western sentiments that you often find in many animes. It's a product of another country and culture, people, accept it as what it is or move on.
