oh, same situtaiton with Naruto, except that would've gotten me way more hate mail. if you don't like it then don't at it and don't coment on the questions u see about i could tell 100 reasons on why i think it's good but the fact is that you would still a some reason on why u don't like it so asking bleach fans why they like it is a waste of time and points everybody has different tastes so chalk it up to that Umm...I didn't take to it right away either. In fact, I only got into it later because I tried watching the series again out of sheer boredom.

I think it might be so popular just because it moves really fast. There aren't a lot of filler episodes, and it's got some comedy and just a teeny hint of an insinuation of romance if you squint really hard. Plus there's a ton of characters, and most of them get decent air time and exposure at some point, so most people can probably find someone they like while watching.

So...that's my opinion on that. It's not my favorite anime either, and it's not suited for everyone, but I think it's just exciting and interesting enough to get such a large fanbase. No affence you fellow bleach lovers but i don't think bleach is very cool. I think these people just think bleach is good because of swords and of course Ichigo. Personally, I like the manga more. The few episodes I watched seemed stupid to me. It's funny, and there's action. It's kind of like Naruto, except there's a unique vibe about it. I like the Bleach (and Naruto) series. A few reasons include: 1. The challenges faced by the characters which build the story of perseverance. 2. The team work and the friendship which are developed within the story's main characters are important. 3. The characters, although gifted will special abilities, they are still imbued with human frailty. In some ways the lessons developed in these fictional world of animation can be applied to the lives of the who seem to more than a little facinated by the series. (Sorry guys. The answer is cheesy, but those are the things I do get from the story line.) I agree with you whole heartedly. To me, Bleach and Naruto are just plain average when I compare them to all the other anime I have seen. Long, drawn out, fighting, shonen anime seem to be the most popular anime in the states though, so I guess it can't be helped.

But seriously... no matter how much you guys love Bleach and Naruto, can you please STOP recommending it when the asker is asking for ROMANCE or if you don't recognize any of the anime the asker has listed as having seen. You may think Naruto is god's gift to the world, but that isn't what everyone wants... It's stuff like this that really causes me to hate the Naruto fanbase at times.

Oh, and if anyone tries to justify Naruto or Bleach as a romance, my response to you is that you are an idiot, and that you need to watch more than just 3 different anime series before you can talk again. I feel the same way, too.
Except Narutos okay. I think Bleach is okay, but it's WAY too overrated. The characters get powered up in almost every 15 chapters or something. I think the kids over here just like Bleach for the fighting, the main character, and the big breasted girls.
