I dont think there is a certain religion in this movie... it isnt religious ...
I think u r talkin about the 6th episode "His Visit - Day Five" when john talks to all of them.... I didnt exactly know what he ment ... but if u repeat it over and over it might sound clear

oh and about the show ...
it's about a guy who was found wondering around and then this guy decides to offer him help... he is strange... he is not like others... then he meets butchie and he meets the others and ever since he got into their life everything started to be very strange... like healing up quickly and so on... download it from a torrent website all the episodes till 7.... the show's on HBO at 9pm I think every sunday and u will find the torrent of the episode the day after it..
