i know men who have not so pretty wifes but they love them and think they are hot....my husband says i am hot but i dont think i am so is beauty really in the eyes of the beholder??

Yes. Think about it this way. There could be a 300 pound woman that I and most people would think is very ugly but her husband is probably a 350 pound dude that thinks she is beautiful. I think that a 60 year old woman is ugly but other 60 year men might think she is the best looking woman they have ever seen.
