Do you hang up the phone first or does the person you're talking to hang up first?

I always wait until the other person hangs up. I'm paranoid that I'll miss something important. Unless, of course, I'm angry. I'm too polite to hang up on anybody, so my little rebellion is hanging up first right after I say good bye. Bad to the bone.
