Do you find yourself constantly trying to prove your love for someone?!

Question:

Do you find yourself constantly trying to prove your love for someone?

Do you ever just wear out trying?

Answers:

I don't do that now, but I have in the past. I wore myself out trying, and that in turn wore out my love for him. Love turned to resentment. Resentment turned to anger and anger turned to thoughts of killing him. It became a bad situation and I got the hell up outta there!!

Now it's like this. If I say that I love you, then I love you. I wouldn't say it if I didn't. I wouldn't be with you if I didn't love you. I wouldn't come home to you at night or wash your dirty underwear if I didn't love you. Period. If you need or expect anything more than those facts, then we won't work. I will not spend the rest of my life walking on egg shells, wondering if I said the right thing, if I said it at the right time, if I did the right thing, and if that thing was done at the right time.

I am not the most affectionate woman God ran a gut through. My husband knows this. I try and show him, every now and then, that I love him but I will not be "guilted" into doing so. I have no patience for a mans insecurities, and I refuse to pet and stall-feed his (or anyone else's for that matter).

I love you. Period. I said it. I mean it. That's it.
