Should the state be allowed to intervene in Domestic Violence crimes or should t!

Question:

Should the state be allowed to intervene in Domestic Violence crimes or should the victim be allowed to?

drop charges like they were allowed ten years ago?

Answers:

Yes the state should intervene, most victims given the chance will drop charges
why?
for some it is a security the feel that the man must love them if they beat them, sick but some do feel that way
another is that even with charges most offenders are let out of jail in lieu of pending charges, now when this happens the woman in scared to death of the retaliation that WILL come from all of the legal things and are cowed into dropping the charges so that the beatings they currently get do not get much worse
so they need to defiantly intervene and make it to where there is no bail until the case has been brought to court
