I'am a 15 year old boy.i have a great passion for singing since i was 9.trying to go to the singing business!

everytime i sing infront of my brother he says i can sing.but when i sing infront of my father he said i cant and i shouldnt try to go into the singing business because i cant sing.idk wat is the problem is it i can sing or i cant, but i have a really strong powerful voice i could sing songs like stevie wonder,boys to men,and sumtimes tevin campbell and hit most of the hard notes on stevie wonder and the rest of the songs.also how do i get rid of a haorse voice when i start to sing high my voice haorse but before i could sing really high.what is da problem.please help me im trying to go to the singing bussiness.anybody please!

i am completely with you on having a passion for singing. when i sing it feels like i'm home. i am sure that is the same feeling your experiencing.

the music buisness is difficult to break into- my dad and i are trying to do the same thing. it is especially hard when you are young (i am 14) and have the voice of a 25 y/o. but if you love it and you dont absolutely suck (lol) then that is what you should do. pursue your dreams.

i reccomend that you take voice lessons, whether your dad says that you can sing or not. even if you cant sing, voice lessons will help you improve. make sure to do your research before you choose a teacher, though, because if you develop a bad technique when you are a teenager, it will be very hard to get rid of later in life. believe me, my mom is a voice teacher and i have met my share of good and bad teachers. also, good voice lessons arent necessarily expensive. they can actually be very affordable, depending on who you are taking from and where you are taking.

if you can't find a voice teacher that is worth taking from or that is affordable, then try and join the choir at your school (im homeschooled so i am in church choir and an auditioned choir at our local university) it isnt hard to find somewhere to plug in! good luck and i hope to hear of you someday!
