He said it wasn't hard to be a lorry driver all you had to do was sit around all day murder a couple of prostitutes then go to sleep!. He was joking that it was an easy job!. He later went on to find out that it was a hard job as it involved driving with about 18 gears and was totally on the lorry drivers side!. The statement was taken out of context and some viewers complained!. No where near as bad as Ross and BrandWww@Enter-QA@Com
Well said Alison C - a hardy breed, most truckers would be amused by such an OTT joke!. OK it was insensitive as regards the families of particular victims but Clarkson clearly didn't have them in mind and if we're not careful humorists would have to omit all references to death, illness etc!. etc!. etc!. Already Muslims have curtailed humorous references to their faith - so that 'Christmas' has been omitted from Oxford St decorations !!! With their minus zero sense of humour/occasion we're in danger of losing a whole branch of our culture based on irony, parody, satire and self-derision!.

Jeremy Clarkson just said something random like he always does!. Am not sure why people watch a show when they going to complain about it!. It was not said in a nasty way, it was said in a joking way!.!.
