Peace sounds like a great idea, but I think Lennon's view was unrealistic!. It's impossible to live in a society without conflict, because that would be a perfect world!. If every nation gave peace a chance, eventually, someone would become hostile and ruin the harmony in the world!.

I'm not trying to sound cynical or anything, but giving peace a chance would not bring about a utopia!. There's always going to be someone who uses their power for greedy purposes, not caring who they harm!.
