Erm, where we all watching the same show !?

Before you start with the thumbs down and telling me I have no sense of humour let me tell you I love Peter Kay and own a lot of his material on DVD!. However!.!.!. I didn't laugh at this once and I can't understand how watching people sing songs is supposed to be funny in addition I felt as if I were being tortured most of the time as after watching the songs once he put them on again and again as it was in the format of a real talent show!.

I fully understand the points he was raising that these types of programmes use disability, tragedy and heartache to push mediocre performers in to the public eye and syphon millions out of the pockets of the people watching via pointless and more than likely rigged voting schemes but I've been aware of that before Peter Kay took it upon himself to tell me, I've joked about it with the people I know before this on countless occasions and we've come up with the exact same jokes he put forward in this programme!.

I thought it was a bunch of self-indulgent tripe and my main problem with it is that I could have come up with the format and content for this entire show in about four hours given a pen and paper and a cup of fairly weak tea!.

My friends and I sat in silence until the documentary came on and then started to laugh!.!.!. The problems is I have a copy of that on DVD so although it's funny, it's recycled!

If this is an accurate gauge of things to come from Peter then I can safely say he's gone from Hero to Zero in my eyes and a hell of a lot of other people!. Discussing it with friends in work today is difficult as most people here turned it off after the first fifteen minutes!.!.!.

Perhaps it's an attempt at irony and he knew it was awful and knew that people would still like it because they like talent(less) shows and he knew he could basically write something I wouldn't wipe my backside with and people would still love him for it!.!.!. But I doubt it and if that's the case it's also nothing new and nothing I've not thought myself in the past!.

It was, to put it quite simply, NOT funny!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
