Why was Michael Jackson's invincible album called a flop?!

Question: Why was Michael Jackson's invincible album called a flop!?
I know when you have sold over 108 million thriller albums, and countless millions more anything seems like failure, but invincible still sold over 2 million in the usa and over 10 million worldwide, more than most of today's acts sell, so its small by Jackson's standards but big for anyone else!.

So why does it get so much flak !?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Because a hell of a lot of people think Michael Jackson is a paedophile (whether they are right or not)!.
And yes, I know a load of hysterical fans will be pissed at me for saying that but I dont care because the fact is, you dont know him and neither do I so nobody knows!. Plus he has lied in the past when he has gone on t!.v and said 'I have only had one nose job'!.

While there is so much uncertainty, he is as avoidable as a Gary Glitter album!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well you have to remember he basically put the Music Business on hold for a long time after all of that bullshit he went through!. to be honest i'm actually a big Michael Jackson fan but i have to admit it does not even compare to Thriller,my thoughts are that he just wasn't in the same state of Mind during the Invincible era!. People have really messed with him and i find it to be rather heartbreaking!. I know for a fact he put his heart into each and every album though!. Between the charges and everything else he was fighting off, i suppose people were still being assholes and i guess it just didn't "look good"!. I remember when all the girls were inlove with Michael and literally could not get enough of the guy, then the 90's come along and it all goes down hill from there!. The point is that Jealously played a big role through out his life time, and the reason Invincible didn't sell as well as all of his past albums is because people lost sight of who Michael Jackson really is!. it was a transition from the 90's, to the new generation ,the times were changing and Michael wasn't exactly in his prime during that time frame!. I love all of his music, and people just jump to conclusions about him 24/7!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Cause that was released during a time when the Music Buisness was booming with high sales!. So 2 million was nothing compared to 5+million copies sold, and this was during the "Teen Pop" era so acts like Britney Spears, NSYNC!. Backstreet Boys were doing the selling and people Like M!.J!. Madonna, and Mariah Carey were basically being ignored by radio and people all there albums sold well but flopped for that time era going platinum in those days wasn't a big deal going multi-platinum or diamond was a big dealWww@Enter-QA@Com

Ok, first of all, it wasn't a flop!. It made money and everyone got paid!.
It didn't sell as well because it wasn't as good!.
He was selling songs not on the merit, but himself becoming a brand name!. It would have been bought by people that had not even heard it!.
His personal life was just starting to be in question, so that wouldn't have helped!.
The record company started to lose faith, no matter what influence he had!.
It didn't sell as well because the public weren't sure about him, and the music wasn't as good as the genius he was before!. Lets face it-how many songs has he released that can rival anything from Thriller or Bad!? You might be able to think of one, but I can't!.
So in answer to your question, it was only called a flop-but it wasn't!. You can't make an album that sells 108 mil, and expect to better it!. If you show me someone that says 2 million albums is a flop, and I will show you thousands of bands that would kill for just 500k songs to be sold!.
I am not sure what is going on in his head-and I don't want to know!. But his music has been a great contribution to society!. I just don't like to think of the bad stuff that he might have done-that is for the law to decide, not us!. But that is not the point!. Invincible just wasn't as good!. And the public lost faith in him!.
He got flack because everyone was expecting another piece of genius!. It wasn't!. It was just a bunch of half good songs!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Everyone who used the word "flop" didn't qualify it as goat or swine flop
so quit complaining that your glass is half-full!. Uh-huh, be grateful for any small favours in Invincible reviews!.
Why the flak!?
No battle for Britain comes without some Ack-Ack, sonny,
when Michael Jackson bombs!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'd consider going from 108 million albums to 12 million albums a bit of a flop :(Www@Enter-QA@Com
