Even though their lyrics don't mean much of anything [I believe Kurt Cobain said that in an interview somewhere] and their songs tend to be pretty simple, it sounds good to some people!. The fact that the lyrics don't make much sense just makes it more interesting!. All the band members are really talented and Kurt Cobain has a beautiful voice!.

they had great music!.!.!. and sure, some of their lyrics were!.!.!. "different", but they also had ones that just made you say "wow"!. one of my personal favs is "stay away"!.
plus, nirvana changed mainstream music!. before nirvana, alternative music was only underground!. they brought grunge and other alternative bands/genres mainstream!. plus, their "teen angst anthem" defined generation x!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well you do realize that the lead singer died in the 90's don't you!? the way Your asking this question is as if they still exist!. I was at school in the nirvana era and i have some good memory's of "smells like teen spirit" being played at the disco and everyone going nuts, but apart from that they never appealed to me really!. I just remember loads of stinky Grebs at school with their greasy hair and nirvana t-shirts that they never took off (literally) and i still see kids to this day with them on so i guess they still have a place in peoples hearts!. their lyrics are so meaning ful and have different meaning for everyone!. im 20 years old, and i know most of their big fans are a little older then but they are by far one of the best bands of all time imo!. also i think they appeal to alot of people now because kurt cobain is now gone, which sparks alot of interest and people look for reasons in his lyrics as to why he was such a tortured soul!. the music has a really good, chill, sound also!.!. its great when your just driving around with the windows down!. needless to say im a huge fan! =]Www@Enter-QA@Com

everyone in that band were amazing, listen to dave grohls drumming, its crazy
although they wernt the first grunge band they were the most famous, they pretty much made a new genre of music

oh my ******* god!. have you heard their guitars!?!?!?!?!? they're amazing!!!!! their solos are actually intelligent, along with the lyrics!. the metaphors that are used are so weird, in a good way, and just the style rocks!. they have such a wide variety of music!. slow songs, fast songs, medium-ish!.!.!.!. they're great! how can you not like them!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
Nevermind is one the the best albums ever made, in my opinion anyway!. I think that perhaps you had to be there at the time!. I'm not sure the music appeals to the mainstream as much now as it did in the early 90s!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Nirvana created a new style of music!. I was only in high school when the band started and their music was always at our spring flings and other events, I really like some of their songs!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
