On camp rock when Tess Tyler was singing two stars why did she gett sad when she!

because basically it was the ONE performance (or so it seemed) that her mom actually made it to!. With her mom being a singer/actress she wanted to impress her mom to show how much work and time she put into her song!. Then when her mom got on the phone (probably work related) she got sad because her mom wasn't watching the performance!. She wanted her mom to sit through one performance without work related things and putting time into work constantly!. It was one of her only moments to shine in front of her mom!. She needed female attention, especially when her mom was constantly working!.
